Welcoming All to Worship, Grow and Serve Together

From the heart and desk of pastor maggie

Dear Church Family,

As we move through this spring season and into summer the good weather offers a time of invitation. I want to take a moment to thank Kevin Ryder and the Men of Grace who made our Car Show such a wonderful success. Kevin told me they greeted many new folks, and hosted 48 vehicles. The Car Show and BBQ are quickly becoming an annual event the community and Motor Enthusiasts look foward to, and appreciate. Events like these remind us that the church is more than a building—it's also people coming together for joyful fun and fellowship.

Next up is our annual Strawberry Dinner hosted by the Women of Grace. This event has been a long, long cherished tradition at Grace (though we don't know exactly how long). But, it has always been an important outreach opportunity for our church family. Whether you can help prepare food, serve, decorate, or clean up, your time and gifts make a difference. If you would like to volunteer, please see the sign-up sheets on the entry table in the Fellowship Hall—Wanda and the Women of Grace would love to have your help.

As we approach Memorial Day, we need to pause, remember, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free. We give thanks for their courage, their devotion, and the families who carry both pride and loss in their hearts. As Christians, we are also reminded of Christ’s words in John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

Memorial Day is a sacred time to reflect with gratitude, pray for peace, and remember those who sacrificed so much for others. This Sunday Bill Swaren's will bless us with a soldier's testimony of love, duty, and sacrifice.

I am grateful for each of you and the many ways you make Grace shine.

Be Blessed, be safe, and by all means be cool this week!

-Pastor Maggie
